The rest of my day consisted of my dinner and my trainer..
Dinner was stir-fry with brown rice pasta..
Directions:
Cook pasta
Sautee onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons olive oil over low heat for 5 min..add cut up chicken breast, salt, pepper and some red chili flakes (if you like heat) sautee another 5-7 minutes until chicken cooked through..add fresh broccli and cauliflower- sautee until veggies start to soften...
Prepare a mixture of veggie stock (trader joes brand) soy sauce, honey, spices, chill flakes- whatever u want- mix all up, pour over the chicken and veggies..simmer on high till boiling then lower and cover till all liquid is disolved..
I threw on some peas and corn just cuz I love peas and corn..
Every once in a while, when I feel that my body really needs a good beating I call one of my closest friends Silke over to the house to beat me up and challenge me to do things I never thought my body could do..
It's definately a perk having worked in a nearby gym meeting all these great trainers out here, sharing stories, giving eachother tips and feedback- learning new moves for our clients all while working out and challenging our bodies at the same time...
We started out sprinting yet again..this time up a hill- down the block-and back..about 3 minutes of a high energy cardio..then did Full Body Circuit Training..the best way to train your body-using multiple body parts-high energy-therefor challenging your entire body making you sweat and torch major calories!
Stationary lunge with bicep curl
20 jump squats
10 push ups while arms are holding weights, in between each push up adding a row
20 sit up and twist to both sides
We did 3 sets of above, then 3 minutes sprinting again
20 Plie' squat with shoulder press
12 incline chest presees
8 burpees (push up, jump legs in, jump up-back to push up, legs in, jump up..)
3 sets of above, 3 min sprinting
12 hammer curls
12 skull crushers
30 bicycle crunches
3 sets of above, 3 min sprinting..
Silke is one of the reasons I became a trainer, I've known her since I was a single girl living out here, we became instant friends and her determination and discipline is so inspiring. She's competed in so many competitions, she's been filmed for workout DVD's, and is one of the hardest working trainers I know..during our workout we discussed motivation- and I'll leave you with this.."Motivation and inspiration ultimately comes from within, you can read all the quotes you want but in the end it needs to come from within"...nothing that poetic- but plain truth..cuz when its 6 am and you have that choice of sleeping in or working out- it needs to come from you..
